Hello, I’m Monika.

The mere thought of H-O-M-E gives me shivers. The best kind of shivers. Bringing homes to life or improving them is what I dedicate myself to. Efficiently, cost-consciously, collaboratively and, at times, irreverently.

At one point it involved a neon-green, plastic, squirt gun making an appearance in a building department. I can share the particulars of this event when we talk.

Some say I am utterly “de-mazing.” Why? Because for more than 20 years I have been expertly navigating the maze of bureaucracy, designing, preventing nervous breakdowns, planning, value engineering, team assembling, scheduling and project optimization.

It is like balancing the dynamics of a ménage à trois where collaboration, timing and managing expectations are absolutely essential. Or so the experts on the subject proclaim. Check out the pictures of my expertise in my portfolio.

One of my superpowers is the ability to get “to the heart of a matter quickly, which clearly is of great value,” to quote one of my clients. Don’t you want to know what my clients appreciate in me rather than me just talking about myself? More of the former is on my testimonials page.

I am likened to a conductor, strategist, advocate, therapist, expeditor, and facilitator. I’ve been called the Glue, the Optimizer, and the Castle Builder. Can you guess why?

Construction sites, perhaps expectedly, and design meetings, perhaps unexpectedly, can be fertile grounds of profanities. Hence, full disclosure, I am known to use “F” words. My favorite “F” word is “Finalized!”
